Had a little play with final cut the other night and i've found some pretty cool filters and ways to distort the whole image or just certain parts so it's looking good. Can't pop the pictures on here but will have them in my research book to show you guys at the tutorial on wednesday or sooner if we have a meeting. Peace

and I'm happy to say that i've made something which will work as an underwater camera housing. doesn't look great, but hey :P

i followed a similar design to the one in the video below.

siliconed any areas that water could get in, and ive put a screw bottom so itll be easy to get cam in and out.

put Vaseline on the threads too, to make the seal on the threads that bit better.

test day tomorrow :)

i think it'll be safe up to the depths we want to go btw. its not like were doing a 20m dive... :)

Just thought i'd stick this up, 'cause it's Renton tripping out but it references things that have already happened in the film. Which i thought was similar to how we're gonna distort things seen on the journey to the pub, after his drink has been spiked. Enjoy.

Is that water thing for the camera made from a torch casing or something? If you could make that thom that'd be great, its just the pool location that's the issue.

I've just read an e-mail from stores and apparently we can't book out kit over easter, so we need to get all sound recorded beforehand really, although if you guys are planning on filming over easter you'll probably need to get a boom mic from somewhere. I think if you go see stores beforehand they'll lend you one or something like that.

Also, I've broken down the different sections of the story and highlighted where the edit style needs to change and where filters and effects will be required so I can play with Final Cut over easter and hopefully I'll have a few videos and pictures to put up on here of what I found/what's achievable.

Biggest thing really is that we need to start filming as soon as possible!

Ive also made an attachment which will lock onto the side of a car or glass, well modified it to take a camera. probably not useful for this project...?

Hey kids, I think we really need to have a sit down and make sure this whole thing is sorted and good to go.

The smoke effect sounds good cos smoke is really hard to control on camera.

I recently got hold of a copy of this program thought it might be a bit tacky, but I'm very impressed!

might take a while to adjust to the program but some of the effects are fantastic,(see trailer below) :)

I've had a go on some random footage that I've got and managed to get a convincing looking cigarette smoke and muzzle flashes.

Just to add, i also acquired an additional 300+ preset effects.

Wow those photos are amazing, i think we'd definately get some brownie points for using that makeup.

There's a scene from trainspotting showing a timelapse whilst renton's in a bingo hall/working mans club, thought it might be a nice device to show how long our mans been waiting around for his date. Couldnt find a video for it on youtube, but its after his parents make him go cold turkey.

Hello again,

Yeh so we had another meeting the other day, now either the chinease we ate had been spiked or we were just really creative, we managed to come p with the whole concept for the idea's a mild script was created, And now i ave finished the storyboard, the meeting was a giant stride forward, we are almost ready to start planning were we will film now. hopefuly the scrip should e finished by next week.

p.s we recommend No.1 chinese Buffet!!!!
